Welcome to Anime Rain! (redundant much?). Here you can find various (and free) anime- and game-based web graphics and design resources made by yours truly, Starfire. These graphics range from icons, to fully-coded layouts, to Photoshop brushes (and image stamps for you Paint Shop Pro users), and much more.  It's true! You can't kill me that easily!  Warning: There are no updates right now, and I'm about to go on a long rant/ramble/explanation/story type of thing. Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up. Anyways, here's the deal: I've lost a lot of interest in making anime themed graphics. I still love anime, and I still enjoy designing, I'm just not feeling putting them together anymore. On top of this, I've been trying to become better at digital painting and other clay-related things, so I think a lot of my creative energy is being used on those rather than designing. But what does this mean for Anime Rain? I'm not sure right now. It's still going to sit here and be neglected for a while (I'm so harsh) and I don't know if I'll have any other big changes for it in the future. I'll tell you right now that I actually have a few designed layouts sitting around that are waiting to be coded, so I'm not quite done here. Ultimately, I think my plan is that Anime Rain will eventually be completely done. I don't know what I'll do with the large chunk of graphics, but I'll deal with that later. I still plan on having a website (on a different domain), but it'll be a "personal" site...Y'know, the kind where it's a little bit of everything (portfolio, blog, random stuff). That'll happen later too. So that's that. Who knows, I may end up changing my mind and wanting to hold on to AR forever, but I didn't spend much time on it this summer, which I think is a sign. I just wanted to explain all that to everyone and show some sign of life. With that in mind, no, I am NOT closing Anime Rain right now. I'm making sure that's clear since that's not my plan at the moment.  Hope you're all having a wonderful summer! Aww please don't leave... so many amazing sites have either died or are becoming dead... It'll be a shame to close down Anime Rain... T.T I agree with what Yui said. You're such an excellent web designer, maybe another type of theme will fit for your graphics? I left the anime zone for a bit before and wanted to do only jpop/kpop themed layuts and such, but I started watching a bunch of new animes and I realized its what I love. I hope you find your way! Anime Rain was one of my building blocks for becoming a web designer, its been like that for as long as I can remember ^-^ Good luck<3 AND DON'T LEAVE YOUR VISITORS, TELL US WHERE YOU'RE GOING :D |

I know what you mean with the whole, losing interest thing.  It seems to happen with a lot of people. I know I went through it. I only enjoy a very select amount of anime now and I'm not as obsessed with asian bands as I used to be. I spent so much money buying all that stuff. Though I want to keep webdesigning with me and it has actually helped with school. Now i'm nore interested in photography and actual photomanipulation. This is a very long comment but I hope you figure out what you want to do! I know you've been around the community for a long time. There are so few of you webdesigners left for before who have stuck around. Good luck!
