About Anime Rain
So many other "about" pages have the date their site was first launched in big bold letters. So why don't have that? I honestly don't remember the exact date I first published Anime Rain. I can tell you that I've had Anime Rain for a looooong time...At least 5 years, but I'm not sure. The domain animerain.com has only been around for 3 or 4 years, but I had several free-hosting accounts before that (freewebs, geocities, and hostultra). So, where did the name come from, you ask? It's actually a very, very, very...short story; I knew it would be an anime graphics site, and I like rain, so I put the two together. I know, it's kind of a lame name, really. There was a point where I was seriously considering changing it, but that never went through (either all the domain names I wanted were taken or my dad didn't want to mess with getting a new domain, I dunno). At this point, though, I really like the fact that I've kept the same name for years. It holds a special place for me (and all my past visitors can still remember the name -winkwink-).
This site's had its (long) times of inactiviy, but I've never forgot about it after all these years (it's my homepage, so that's kinda hard). Who knows, maybe I'll keep up with the site when I'm sixty-four. -coughBeatlesreferencecough-
About Starfire
Well, I'm Starfire in the graphic community, but the real name's Nicole. I've been in to graphic design for years (about as long as the site's been open), but I don't know exactly how long and I don't really care, so it all works out! My love of design started when an old friend introduced me to the anime graphics community (I would link the site I first saw, but it's been closed for years). From there, I started messing around on freewebs and finally settled on Anime Rain (all of layout headers had to have rain in them...y'know, to fit the name, lol). It has since grown in to the site you see today; still full of all the stuff I make and want to share. I have also been dabbing in to other forms of design/art recently(which can be seen on my deviantART account), but my strengths still lie in the simple art of anime graphics. You can (maybe) find more random info about me over at my blog, if you're curious. Other than that, I can be done here~What I Use
